Liaison Officers
Registrar Liaison Officer (RLO)

The QRME in conjunction with the GP Registrars appoints a Registrar Liaison Officer for one session per fortnight. The RLO is elected by the registrars for a two year term. The RLO facilitates registrar input into the development, implementation and evaluation of the QRME Training Program and represents QRME Registrars with the General Practice Registrars Association (GPRA).

Medical Educator / Training Liaison Officer (TLO)

The key roles for the TLO with QRME are:
- To ensure provision of adequate levels of communication are functioning between hospitals, community based training sites and QRME in regard to the GP training program, including the Rural Generalist Pathway.
- To act as a facilitator for, and including involvement with organisation of Academic Post training for QRME GP Registrars wishing to undertake this Research based Special Skills placement option.
- To provide effective support and assistance to QRME GP Supervisors wishing to undertake professional development in the area of clinical training or research relevant to primary care.

Family Liaison Officer (FLO)

The key roles for the FLO with QRME are:
- Contact with Registrars prior to a geographic move to gauge support required.
- Provision of a Partner's/Movers pack to anyone requesting it - this pack to include
- removal information
- tips & cheat sheets
- change of address procedures
- school and community group details
- other relevant local information
- Contact with Registrars & partners before, during and on settling into their new area.
- Coordination of financial assistance with removal and other costs eg: reconnaisance visit to new town prior to placement
- Putting new Registrars in touch with other Registrars in the area

Supervisor Liaison Officer (SLO)

The General Practice Supervisor Liaison Officer (SLO) has a role for Supervisors/Trainers similar to the RLO for Registrars. QRME GP Supervisors are invited to contact the SLO to discuss any issues of concern regarding their involvement in the GP Training Program.
